I have always loved old clothes and I am slightly quirky, so getting into the online vintage clothing business seemed a natural progression for an entrepreneur, with a can't have too much time on their hands nature. About a year ago, some friends and I started A Collective Nest, ww.etsy.com/shop/acollectivenest a little shop on Etsy, to showcase our various wares. I have some extremely talented friends, photographers, seamstresses, jewelry makers. We learned that combining our "eclectic nest" was not the best way to bring visitors to our site.
I continued posting on our site and am now celebrating over 200 sales. This is my first true experience doing something I love for a living. My little shop has had successes and failures and I can't believe how much there is to learn, who knew taking pictures could be so flippin' hard! A Collective Nest, has a little bit of every kind of clothing from every decade.
Recently, on a shopping expedition, I stumbled onto a vintage lingerie find so wonderful that requires its very own shop and Gilded Girl Vintage was born. This purchase has my dining room overflowing with Intime of California peignoir sets, bridal sets, gowns, robes and teddies. It will take me a while to research and list these to my site www.etsy.com/shop/gildedgirlvintage but I want to offer you a glimpse of upcoming items.
